Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I couldn't ask for a better director to recreate this classic. Apparently T.I. felt the urge to expose himself to his fans in Vegas, but what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there... According to SandraRose a crazed female fan tried to pull T.I.'s pants down and did not succeed so she went for his T-shirt (sounds like a Thursday night at WebsterHall) anyways... T.I. granted her wish but threw in some extras, he took his tee off and wiped his sweaty "area" (as seen in the pictures) and then threw it into the audience...

Off topic.. but this reminds me of a NoDoubt show I went to with my mom in the 6th grade, when Adrian (drummer) decided to change his underwear infront of everyone... can't explain how uncomfortable and traumatizing that was for me. I'm just glad I wasn't at the T.I. show with my mom :)

Fifty recently told XXL magazine “Nas is cold as ice. Nas is the block of ice that sunk the Titanic… I didn’t even hear his record. I didn’t even hear what you talking about."

Fifty refuses to get caught up in a lyrical battle claiming that he hasn't even heard Nas' "Queens get the Money" since it is so beneath him.

"I really don’t want to talk about Nas. I think he’s at one of those points to where his career’s finished, to be honest."

"He’s had some great moments and made good music in the past, but he no longer has the interest of the general public or myself”.

My question is though... if you haven't even "heard the record" then how can you comment?

I disagree... regardless I was only feelin a few songs off Nas' last album, I think he has a long way to go before his career is "finished".

So let me get this straight.... first lil kim wants to come out her face, talkin to anybody that will listen and postin all over facebook her opinions on the movie.... see below.... and now she's taking it back?... see even further below..

"I feel like I was not portrayed how I should have been in this movie. I was in love with BIG and he was in love with me. I was never a JUMP-OFF, I know this and BIG knew this. I wasn’t even able to choose who I wanted to portray me in this movie. I would have never picked Naturi, she doesn’t have a Lil Kim aura at all! She looks nothing like I looked back then. We have NO similarities. Watching her on-screen was so “dreadful” as Simon Cowell would say. She is tasteless and talentless. Enraged woman bites bus driver

Seeing a hybrid bus this morning reminded me of the article I had read last Friday about this nutty woman. Shelia Bolar, 49, must have been having a really bad day before waiting over an hour for a hybrid bus. While ranting and raving, she boarded the uptown M104 bus even though it was not the hybrid she was not so patiently waiting for. When she was done giving the bus driver, Peter Williams, a piece of her mind she grabbed his arm. "Miss, don't touch me while I'm operating the bus," Williams told Bolar. When he made his 79th street stop and let the passengers off, he signaled to a dispatcher for help. That's when she bit him. CHOMP... through a jacket, a sweater and a thick shirt, Williams was left with a nice bruise on his arm. She fled the bus right after and was caught by the cops a flew blocks in. Last I heard she was being held without bail and being given a psychiatric exam. I believe that exam is long overdue. I understand her concern for the environment but there is no need to get cannibalistic.

Who Shot Ya?

According to News-Record.com, shots broke out in the lobby of the Grand 18 Four Seasons movie theater in Greensboro, NC on Friday night after an argument ensued resulting in a 32 year old man being shot twice in the abdomen. Needless to say, at the time, many people were in line waiting to see "Notorious"... so you should know the rest. The theater and police investigated to see if there was a link between the shooting and the movie - and of course they couldn't find one. Despite this, Grand 18 has cancelled all showings of "Notorious" indefinitely. How a movie can cause you to shoot someone is beyond me - I thought people were fully responsible for their own actions. I'm just saying... what if the shooter was there to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"?

Regardless, why do some people have to be so damn IGNANT?!? It seems like there's always one person that has to fuck shit up for everybody else. If you don't know how to act you should keep your silly ass at home. It's bad enough the media, police, etc are always trying to link negativity to the hip hop community, why give them the opportunity to do so? Get it together!!!

Based on the best-selling novel, a little girl discovers a secret door in her house that brings her to another version of her life.... this alternate reality seems way better than the one she is living until her "mother" tries to keep her there... seems like many dreams I have had... maybe thats why I am so interested. It could also be that Henry Selick directed it, who also directed some of my favorites like Nightmare before Christmas and Monkeybone (shout out to Diane).

Crime + Spain = Jail + Strippers???

A prison guards' union said a female stripper performed at a Spanish jail and authorities did nothing to stop it. The union says the woman took her clothes off before male inmates Jan. 2 and committed several lewd acts at the prison in Picassent in the eastern Valencia region. (AOL News)

I thought the purpose of a prison sentence is to punish those that commit crimes! Maybe I'm buggin'. I wonder who authorized this and thought nobody would find out.

And who is this stripper?? I mean really, how much money could this woman have possibly made? Well, according to UK newspaper The Sun, she performed for free. WTF??? Isn't that against the stripper code or something? On a serious note though, what woman in her right mind would want to take her clothes off in a room full of criminals that include sex offenders (regardless if money is involved or not)?

Anywho, I have a good feeling the crime rate in Spain is about to go through the roof. Guys, why pay for a lap dance when you can get one for free in jail?

Virgin Megastore in Times Square will be closing its doors this April and ironically, the reason has nothing to do with sales - the store has actually reported profits of about $6 million a year. Apparently, the rent Virgin has been paying for that location is way below market value, so the owners of the space will be replacing America's largest music retailer with... none other than... drum roll please... Forever 21. This new Forever 21 is expected to open in 2010 - all 90,000 sq ft of it - making it the largest of all its locations.

This news is truly bittersweet for me. Being a music lover and a person trying to make a living working in the music industry this really hits home - if one of the last profitable music stores can't make it, you know damn well its a wrap for the rest of them. But the shopaholic in me is excited - yea I said it. I'm going to be like a kid in a candy store when this Forever 21 opens.

Jennifer Hudson is set to sing the National Anthem at the Superbowl. This is her first appearance since the heartbreaking tragedy that struck her family. I'll definitely be tuned in February 1st to see her performance.

Run DMC will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 4th making them the 2nd hip hop act to ever receive this honor.

I have to warn you though, you could go the whole duration without sleep waiting for the bag of crap. What? Yea, bag of crap... it's sold for $1 each, (max 3) and $5 shipping... but in these bags of crap you got a bunch of random crap... but usually they throw in a random roomba, laptop, GPS, or television... this is why their servers usually crash the minute they post one.

People please learn how to park, especially in NYC. It's unnecessary to take up 12 spaces when parking is so limited due to things such as alternate side parking rules, no standing zones, etc. There should be no reason why I must spend 30 minutes circling for parking because you have no common courtesy! I have things to do and can't afford wasting time or gas because you don't want another car near yours - what's another dent to your hooptie?! (you probably wouldn't even notice)

So get it together people!! Or I might make that tight ass space between yours and the next car work, like the dude in this video.

True Story: Men v. Hooters?

Well the rumors are true… a group of men applied to Hooters in Texas, were denied (really?!) and are now filing suit. The leader of the pack, Nikolai Grushevski, must’ve been smoking something good when he came up with this idea. Too bad somebody else was smoking the same thing in 1997, in a similar Hooters lawsuit. Hooters should have saved themselves the trouble, hired these maniacs and let’s see how many tips these men in short shorts make. I would love to see a table full of men react to Nikolai as their “Hooter’s Girl”.

True Story: The Picture Perfect Wedding... at Taco Bell?!

SMH... really? I don't even know where to start with this one. Getting married in Taco Bell will never be appropriate! And I thought in the land of fast food nothing would top White Castle's candelit Valentine's Day dinners with waiter service... once again I was wrong.

A couple from Normal, IL (no comment) decided to get married in Taco Bell since a lot of their time is spent there (really???). I'm not one to judge, but come on people - a Taco Bell wedding? Are times really that bad? I understand we're in a recession, but damn, there has to be a better way! I'm sure there are other places you like to spend your time that are more fitting for a wedding and your budget. There's nothing romantic about smelling like taco meat during your wedding ceremony!

Nonetheless, Paul Brooks and Caragh Brooks, exchanged their vows at their local Taco Bell while seated across from each other in an orange booth (at least it wasn't at a regular table with those hard ass chairs that give you butt cramps). The employees went all out for the couple and decorated with streamers and balloons... they even had custom-made hot sauce packets with "Will you marry me?" written on them (um I thought this was a wedding, not a proposal. Get it together Taco Bell! "Just Married" would've been more fitting for the occasion and probably would've cost less to print).

Unlike most weddings this wasn't an invite only type of affair. Taco Bell kept its doors open to the general public during the ceremony so its loyal consumers, who couldn't fight their cravings, could come in and order their Chalupas and Gorditas.

The entire wedding cost about $200 - $15 went to the bride's hot pink wedding dress; the ordained minister was a friend of the groom, so that probably cost them a value meal... and the rest of the money went... um... where? Isn't $200 kind of pricey for a Taco Bell wedding? I mean aren't their tacos like 79 cents now? Sounds like the couple might have been robbed!

Paul and Caragh Brooks you probably thought it was a good idea at the time, but I'm sure there were some regrets when you spent the entire night on the toilet with the bubble guts when you should've been celebrating your day!

Office Etiquette 101

For those of you who were raised on a farm or just live under a rock, I have put together a little something for you so you don’t get a stapler thrown at your face.

1. Do not call or come by someone’s desk before 10AM. The morning commute can turn the sane crazy, so it would be best for you to put the questions on hold until they have settled in a bit or at least have taken their coat off.

2. Don’t be a snitch. If you see I came in a few minutes late, don’t go running to the big shots, cause when you slip up it wont be pretty ;)

3. Use email. Believe it or not, most of us are working, so unless something is extremely urgent, try not to just pop up at somebody’s desk with ridiculous questions. When there is a free moment, your email will be answered.

4. Give a bitch a minute. If you sent an email or asked me for something, can you wait at least 5 minutes before following up?

5. Stay by your own cube. Nothing is more annoying than when a bunch of people with nothing to do stand around your cube when you have a mountain of work piling up.

6. Keep off speaker phone. If you do not have an office with a door, let’s keep the speaker phone use to a minimum. If you want everyone to hear what you have to say, schedule a meeting or conference call; I’d be happy to attend. While you are at it, lower the damn volume on your ringer, it wakes me up every time you get a phone call.

7. Don’t be a hater. Just because you are a hot mess doesn’t mean you need to grill the cute girl (yours truly J ) that was just transferred to your department every time she walks by. Jealousy is not very flattering.

8. Don’t be a gossiping whore. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

9. Dress conservative. This is an office, not a G-Unit video shoot. We don’t need to see all that.

10. Control your odors. Believe it or not there are some people that don’t think a shower is necessary. Well it is. Also, if you need to pass gas, go take a walk outside, close the door to your office or go in the bathroom, but don’t do it by your coworker’s desks.

This morning I saw a commercial for VH1's new show "For The Love of Ray J", and all I could think was "why?".

WHY RAY J? I could've sworn you and Whitney were gonna ride 'til the wheels fell off!

WHY VH1?? There's only so much I can take. Don't you think the people had enough? I can't keep up with all this buffoonery. Please make it stop! I blame you Brigitte Nielsen and Flavor Flav!!!!

But as much as it pains me, I just might have to tune in and watch this trainwreck unfold (pathetic I know). I'm really curious to see if Kim K, Lil' Kim and Whitney make guest appearances to help Ray J with his pick.

No Doubt Reunion Tour?!

As you may or may not know I am a HUGE fan of No Doubt but I guess since they stopped making albums and touring I haven't been paying much attention to what their future plans are. Gwen has been getting pregnant left and right and I haven't heard anything worth while from the others. Well as I was not made aware and officially the last to know, I have now done my research. I am not sure when the new album will be out, but it wont be in 2009 according to MTV News. They are performing at the Bamboozle Festival on May 3rd. See you there.

Hate It or Love It? Beyonce's "Diva" Video

I'm not a fan. Here are some reasons why:

1. Those glasses (don't front like you don't know what I'm talking about). Is it really necessary to have wind chimes hanging from your glasses? I thought it couldn't get any worse than Soulja Boy's glasses with writing on them or Kanye's venetian blind glasses, but clearly it has. The sad part about it is every street vendor in New York City is going to start selling them - and what's even sadder is those shits are gonna sell like hotcakes. What hurts me the most is that I'm going to have to inflict bodily harm on my 12 year old sister when she begs me to buy her a pair. Why Beyonce?

2. (2:21) It looks like Beyonce jumped into a tub of Vaseline - not a good look.

3. She flaunts a fan made of $100 bills - about a G's worth. Bitch we are in a recession!!!!! And yea they probably aren't real, but it's the thought... that's just rubbing salt into our wounds. (Then again if I had Beyonce money I would probably do the same, if not more outrageous shit like wallpaper my room with it or have my rolls of toilet paper made out of it.)

4. Overall lack of originality:
a. Black & White video - been there, done that over and over again.
b. Beyonce dancing with 2 other chicks in the background... just did it in "Single Ladies". Didn't she do enough of that in her Destiny's Child days?
c. Car on fire... can you say "Crazy In Love"?

I'm so over it.

I think we should have a blog to keep our GemDi name going while we pick up the pieces of our lives...

And so it began... for those of you who don't know, GemDi Entertainment came about sort of the same way as this blog - very spur of the moment. In November of '07 we decided we wanted to produce showcases for up and coming artists, so we formed GemDi (the name is a combo of both of our names), and had a showcase about 2 months after the thought came about (POPOFFFFFF!!!!! lmao)... then the demands of everyday life took over and GemDi took a backseat. Timing just wasn't right, but our 1 show was proof enough that we can do whatever the fuck we put our minds to despite the millions of things we have going on in our lives. Will there ever be another showcase?? Who knows... but GemDi is here to stay. And until we figure out what the next step for GemDi is, we have this blog to give you insight into our crazy minds.

So what can you expect? Whatever random ass things we feel like writing about - music, art, new york city, people, life, news, our adventures, etc. Just know you're going to get the 100% real deal, no bullshit.
